July 2015 Forgan Smith and Duhig Tower Lift Motor Room Roofing, St Lucia (PDF, 2.8MB) The roof of the lift motor room in the Forgan Smith Tower has been modified with additional flashing for the Forgan Smith parapet. The Duhig Tower lift motor room requires a new roof to be installed with a small down pipe. Approved by Director P&F/B&G Committee.

April 2015 Cattle Teaching Facility Darbalara Vet School, Gatton (PDF, 2.3MB) The School of Veterinary Science is intending to relocate the beef cattle teaching herd currently located at Pinjarra Hills to the Darbalara Farm. This project is to construct a set of cattle yards and a small building at the Darbalara Farm located approximately 6 kilometres from the Gatton Campus. Approved by Senate.
November 2014 Synthetic Fields and Carpark, St Lucia (PDF, 11.5MB) Construction of two synthetic sporting fields on Oval 4 and the adjacent softball diamond sites, built on top of a ground level 500 space carpark structure. It includes construction of ancilliary elements associated with the sporting fields (e.g. upgrade existing field lighting, goal boxes, seating, dug outs, fencing and safety netting etc.), connection linkages to the Lakes walkway and landscaping. November 2014 Lakes Bus Station Pedestrian Link, St Lucia (PDF, 3MB) A new service entry will be installed with an automatic sliding door with door frames and glazing to match existing windows. A new delivery bay and modified walkway will match existing. Approved by Senate.
November 2014 Signage, St Lucia (PDF, 1.3MB) The Entry Statement Sign will be constructed using similar design elements and material to that of the current sign on Sir Fred Schonell Drive. A combination of backlit illuminated UQ logo and up-lighting of base plinth will match the current sign. Approved by Senate.
November 2014 Physics Annexe New Roof, St Lucia (PDF, 3.9MB) The roof of the Physics Annexe Building has passed its useful life and needs to be replaced. P&F has planned the replacement, which would also include relocating the existing stormwater systems to the exterior of the building. Approved by Senate.
November 2014 Duchesne College Entry Upgrade, St Lucia (PDF, 1.6MB) The project was initiated by the Duchesne College Facilities Committee in response to the following site issues: site identification, safe access and visual amenity. November 2014 Plant Industries Building, Gatton (PDF, 4.8MB) Internal refurbishment of the laboratories in Building 8111 at Gatton. Includes a shade structure to be installed over the forecourt area. This will also give the building a clear front entry that will be more readily accessible and enhance the look and functionality of the building entry regime. Approved by Senate.
November 2014 VIE Tank, PACE (PDF, 1.5MB) Due to changes in the current Australian Standard surrounding the handling of gasses and to cost increases in inspection requirements, modifications to the current gas storage tanks are required. Approved by Senate.

November 2013 Ferry Terminal, St Lucia (PDF, 3.5MB) The floods in January 2011 severely damaged the CityCat and City Ferry terminals along the Brisbane River. During the process of re-establishing the terminals State Government announced an open competition to design a new ‘iconic’ ferry terminal with improved flood resilience. An allocation has been made to replace the current facility with the iconic design. Approved by Senate.

November 2013 Social Sciences Facade Modifications, St Lucia (PDF, 2.8MB) Room S432 Social Sciences Building has been allocated to the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences to accommodate additional staff and it is proposed to install two new windows to match existing windows on this façade. October 2013 Solar Research Building, Gatton (PDF, 9.5MB) UQ is the lead research institution in a Solar Flagships consortium with AGL, First Solar & UNSW. As part of this program, the Federal Government has provided UQ with $21.7M of EIF funds to build a 3.275 MW research solar array at the Gatton Campus. Approved by Senate.
