St Lucia Campus Master Plan

UQ's St Lucia Campus Master Plan sets out a long-range vision and a suite of supporting strategies and initiatives that seek to guide investment and change on campus. The vision is to create a world-leading learning and research environment that is connected to global markets, industry, the city and the community. This Master Plan is a bold and ambitious strategic tool that aims to create a cohesive, engaging and open campus while allowing flexibility in the pace, timing and scale of change.

Site Development Plans

The public consultation period for the proposed new St Lucia Site Development Plan (SDP) concluded on November 2 2018. We are currently compiling all feedback for consideration during the finalisation of the SDP, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.

The SDP will complement the St Lucia Campus Master Plan by providing the strategic framework to guide development on land covered by the St Lucia Campus Community Infrastructure Designation.

The SDP will identify potential sites and opportunities for new development and define design parameters for treating built form and open space.

Principles set out in the SDP will help realise the University’s ambition to provide an exemplary campus experience and public realm for students, staff and visitors.
