The COO operational areas provide professional services to support UQ's core functions – from coordinating operational plans and policy to maintaining campus facilities and more.

Individually, each area seeks to deliver quality services that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders. Together the areas collaborate to ensure UQ remains a leader in teaching and research.

In alignment with UQ's Strategic Plan, we are committed to a 'One UQ' approach and providing excellent professional services to our colleagues on and off campus.

Enabling effective and efficient governance, risk management, compliance, insurance and assurance
Promoting the highest possible standards across health, safety and wellness within UQ
Delivering high quality advice and support to UQ staff on all aspects of human resources
Providing a wide range of IT services to students, staff and the wider community
Promoting a culture of integrity, and investigating allegations of misconduct
Providing independent advice and assurance on the effectiveness of governance, management processes and internal controls within UQ.
Providing strategic marketing, communication and branding advice to position UQ as a world-class, research-intensive university.
Providing legal advice and services to the University executive, administrative and academic areas of the University
