Our teams support the administrative, teaching, learning and research needs of staff, students and the wider UQ community. Each team plays an important role in ensuring we provide a high standard of service.
Leadership
Information Technology Services (ITS) is led by the Chief Information Officer (CIO), who provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across the University for a wide range of IT services and initiatives. The CIO is supported in these activities by the ITS Senior Management Group (ITS SMG), who help shape IT priorities, coordinate service delivery, and support alignment with UQ’s broader goals.
The ITS SMG contributes to:
- Strategic planning and investment in technology.
- Oversight of service performance and risk management.
- Governance and assurance across service delivery and operations.
- Coordination of incident response and operational continuity.
Additionally, in collaboration with other IT committees, ITS SMG provides advice to the CIO on matters impacting the IT function across UQ.
