We support UQ staff and leaders through the foundations of the employment experience, including managing workforce strategies, recruiting and developing UQ talent, enhancing the existing employee experience, managing rewards and benefits, and enabling organisational effectiveness.
Executive team
The Human Resources executive team operate as the functional leaders of UQ's HR teams. Our mission is to enable HR professionals to support staff across the organisation and facilitate change in a productive way.

Organisational and Leadership Development
Organisational and Leadership Development provides access for staff at all levels to quality skills and professional learning opportunities, including leadership and management development, and technical support for career advancement.

UQ Leadership
UQ Leadership aims to develop strong, effective, inclusive and innovative leadership behaviours at all levels throughout the university. We support:

Continuing Appointments and Promotions
The Continuing Appointments and Promotions (CAP) team coordinate the processes for:
- academic promotion
- continuing appointment probation
- conferral of Honorary and Adjunct Professor titles.
Workplace Relations and HR Policy
Workplace Relations provides advice on complex and sensitive employment matters including major disputes or organisation change, enterprise bargaining, interpretation of industrial awards or legislation, review of employment contracts.
Workplace Psychologist
UQ's Workplace Psychologist helps to facilitate workplace support for staff members whose capacity to carry out their duties is affected by a mental health condition not currently subject to a workers' compensation claim.
