Ben is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and leads SPO’s Financial Modelling and Business Analytics team to support the development of business cases and drive University operational improvement. As part of this role, he also leads the University’s UniForum productivity benchmarking program. Ben has over 15 years of experience providing commercial and business advisory services to corporate and government clients.

Prior to commencing at UQ he was a Corporate Advisory Manager at KPMG Australia where he led the development of feasibility studies, business cases, due diligence reviews, and organisational process improvements. He commenced his career with Australia's largest corporate recovery firm, McGrathNicol+, participating in the administration of HIH and Harris Scarfe. He also held a senior pricing role for logistics company, Aurizon, supporting contract negotiations with major mining and bulk commodity companies; and, has supported business transformations in the health and disability sectors.
