The Chief Information Officer (CIO) has functional accountability for Information Technology across the University of Queensland’s diverse IT environment; its provision, security, architecture and governance.

The Information Technology Services Division reports to the CIO.  It provides over 70% of UQ’s IT services and, along with the provision and management of the University’s core enterprise systems, the Division manages one of the largest and fastest data networks in Queensland.

The Information Technology Strategy 2017 – 2020 outlines the role that IT plays as a key enabler of student success, academic endeavour and world-class research outcomes at the University of Queensland, regarded globally as a leading institution of learning and discovery.
